Interesting Lash-ups

I forgot the exact date this pic was taken...but in the early eighties..at Bealville (Tehachapi). Lots of interesting power on these two trains....I shot it with Tri-X.

This is another pic I came across...taken at Walong (The Tehachapi Loop itself) early in the eighties..with 2 Blue Bonnets in this consist along with a GP30...

Don't know what they had to haul, all leased except the GP40 GEXR 4022, but how about this one? I was only interested in getting a few shots for modeling at the time. From the front SD45, GP15, GP40.GP15. SD45 HALTX 907.

Those two engines you call SD45s are actually SD45-2s, both ex-CSX, nee Seaboard Coast Line. B oth are property of Helm Leasing. Two of thier sisters, HATX 904 and 913, are on the Dallas, Garland & Northeastern. They're not seen too often these days, but BNSF has been known to keep some of these types of beasts (still in Santa Fe colors but lettered BNSF) on the rock trains that run through Sherman.
