Take special note of the patch job: (this unit was headed timetable west)(compass north) to Laurel, Montana, today trailing a BN whiteface SD40-2 on a sulphur unit train.

These were on an empty rock train I saw last week.

Interesting patch job! I'm surprised there aren't a few more similar statements.

Indeed is is. There just happens to be a bluebonnet Geep 30 in the BN yard here in Cheyenne.... Yard goats in Cheyenne tend to stick around a few days to a few weeks, so I'll try to get a better shot of her.
Pics soon!

Hey Jeremiah, if it's #2449, PLEASE get as many shots as you can!! That unit hung around Denver till the day I decided to model it, then it ran and hid and I've been unable to find it anywhere! smile.gif

I'll owe you lunch if you catch that one!

How about BNSF 2444, from a distance, it COULD look like 2449....

That's a great pic, thanks Mr S! I have several of others in the rebuilt 2400 series too. An interesting trivial detail is some have yellow ditch light mounts and others have blue ones. Did you remember which this one had? ;)

Also, does anyone know which N scale Microscale decal has this style/color of cab numbers? Their decals have a blue serif-type font...

After a quick search, the engine above has blue mounts.
