Welcome to TrainBoard, plstktnkr2 (thats difficult to type http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif )

When we were over in San Bernardino recently, we could only wonder what the area looked like before it was turned into an intermodal facility.

So I hope someone has information for you, as I would be interested too!

Best of luck with your model (in the BEST scale) http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif Hope to see it in the N scale forum in due course.

That's a tough one. I have some old pics of the area just to the north of the roundhouse but they are taken after most of the roundhouse had been demolished. Before the intermodal facility was built the railroad used the last few stalls for a shop area and to support the steam boiler (the huge smokestack has been kept and preserved as a historic landmark in San Bernardino).
I vaguely recall an article or pictures in a magazine showing the old roundhouse before it was 'down-sized', if I can recall where or what magazine I will post it for you. Sorry my memory doesn't serve me or you better. Good luck!
