Mike Hurley passed away today in Newton, Kansas. He was the author of the book "Newton, Kansas, No. 1 Santa Fe Rail Hub: 1871-1971." I was fortunatle to interview him on the radio a few years ago and found him to be an interesting and enjoyable person with many great railroad stories. I know he will be missed in the railroad community.

My condolences to the Hurley family. It is always sad to lose a fellow railroad enthusiast. Mike's work will be missed. Although I do not own any of the work he did, I have seen it referenced.
