Derek, All of the photos you have posted on the last three threads look good to me. What kind of Digital camera are you using? How many megapixels? Does it have a noticeable lag in shutter operation? graemlins/wink.gif

It's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P32 3.2 megapixel. I've been very impressed with the resolution with the 3.2 size and I couldnt imagine having anything bigger.
The one thing that irks me about it is the uncertainty of when the shutter goes. You hold the button halfway until it beeps, then push it down the rest of the way to shoot. Way too hokey for timing anything well but it does alright.
I can't wait for the day I can afford one of those 6mp digital SLRs :D

Mine (a 2mp Canon) also has a similar delay, I've started doing a 'pre-focus' tactic on moving trains.
I work out where I want the final shot, and do the 'half-press' on a fixed item at that point a couple of seconds before the train gets there, then hold the button and wait till it's in the right place to depress it fully.
On mine there is no delay between the half press and full press, the delay is the autofocus and stuff doing it's thing when you do the half press.
When D-SLR's come down a bit more, or I win the lottery ;) I look forward to some of their advantages... smile.gif

Now there is a city I haven't been to in years and didn't know the station existed either.
Excellent photos! graemlins/notworthy.gif
