now thats just nice.... too bad the weather didnt help you out.... but a beautiful history lesson none the less.

Nice to see GP30's still in service....40yrs or so since their introduction...alongside those high powered beasts! Thanks again for sharing William.

Actually, both of those are rebuids that were designated GP39m by BN and ATSF. In Atlas's latest release you'll see they actually call the BNSF issue a GP39m. I'm not sure who rebuilt them (M-K comes to mind), but whoever did these also rebuilt GP35's and also called them GP39m's. BNSF has a few of the ex-BN ones floating through the system.
