One thing I love about Cuesta Grade is the helper service... it's something I miss so much over Donner Pass now that they just stick and AC or dash-9 on the back. I'm going to start keeping better track of them, but a variety of good old EMDs take up the rear of most trains going up and down Cuesta. I'm not sure what kind of rotation they have going on, It's always three locomotives parked at the San Luis Obispo station that go up the grade and I usually see the same locomotives coming down with another train a few hours later. Maybe somebody has a better idea of what the operations are behind it?

Notice below the unpatched SD45 in one consist. I saw tunnel motors several months ago. I would think it'd just be the same 3?
