Around 9:30 this a.m., I lucked out with this CSX unit on the point of the BNSF westbound stack train through Woodford. It nicely added some color to a chilly and overcast morning in the mountains.

Yes, you lucky devil ;) The track does look in excellent condition. Those tanks must feature in many shots at Woodford! By the way, anyone know what they contain?

Alan, I believe they are left overs from the days of steam...when trains could fill their tenders there...now the local (Keene) water district owns them.

Thanks Mike. On the road side near the highway bridge is a large concrete base which looks as though it may have supported something like a water tank? It does now make a good platform for photography smile.gif
