Is that view of the welder significantly zoomed? Those rails sure look wavy! If not due to the photo, I'd think that crossing those diamonds might be a rough ride!

Boxcab E50 Ken,

Notice the light colour ballast in fron of the track? That indicates poor formation hence the track is pumping under traffic. The track is wavey alright due to the roadbed being in poor condition.

This is also causing problems to the crossing thats why the welder is building up the crossing nose but adding welding fill to reduce further damage by trains thumping through.
