A couple of months ago, I caught a show on PBS. It was about tourist railroads in the USA. (There were so many I'd never known about, it was indeed surprising! ) One operation they filmed and rode was the Conway Scenic. Everything about them was intriguing. And the surrounding landscape was fantastic!

It's even better yet to take the trip from the comfort of the Dome Car. graemlins/088.gif

I have the pleasure to live in New Hampshire, and I've been on the Conway Scenic a few times. The scenery is exceptional, and if you get the chance to ride this train, first class is worth the price!

Their dinner train was excellent. Well worth the trip from Connecticut.

Hey Hammer,
Was the line through Crawford Notch (MEC) abandoned or is it still active?
I rode the Conway back in '80 during it's railfan weekend.
Beautiful scenery all around there.
I also rode the Wolfeboro RR which was great too. I know that ride is long gone but are the tracks still intact?
