Contrary to what some may say or think, there is more to life than just train. Along those lines, there should be more to railroad photos that just trains.

Here's a "what the heck" shot from Fostoria a few weeks ago. This is a 300mm westward view down the tracks at East Fostoria with a westbound approaching off one of the connector tracks in town. The name of the game was Aim, Click, and Bail!

What do you guys think about this?

N80, 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 AF Zoom-Nikkor, Fuji Sensia 100, tripod mounted, exposure unrecorded.

I am 100 per cent with you on this. In fact my effort to get photographers to look beyond the trains led to the "More than Trains" forum.

did you use time exposure for this shot as the signals seem to be burning in the pic? I'm wondering whether the signals are LED?
