Possible problem.

Just tried to log onto RailImages and the top of the screen had these messages and I could not log in.

I tried recycling IE and clearing cache, but that did not help. The time was less than five minutes before the time stamp of this posting.

Edit: After writing this note, I went back to RailImages and it seems to be working. I wonder what happened.

I had a similar experience today, with similar but not identical messages. When I went back to copy it for reference, it was gone.

I did have a problem a few nights ago when I tried to upload an odd-shaped photo (800 x 100), but I doubts that's it--probably the other way around.

Yes we have been having problems but it is due to our host and some server settings. They have been working on it and we thing it has been rectified, if you do see the error message again please let us know.

I'm possibly starting to get to the bottom of this problem. It has to do with some security settings on the server. We are trying to find the solution and are working on this.

I just recieved my username and password. I tried to sign in for the 1st time and I am getting warning:session_start():open(/tmp/sess_dee197bb2559828de2b57fbd9ad1b5e2, O_RDWR) failed input/output error (5) in /home/hdnghtiu/public_html/gallery/session.php on line 60. There are about 5 similar messages. Is something wrong with the site or is something wrong with what I am doing?
Also, there are no links for editing my gallery or uploading images.

Jeff,

It's on our end not yours. It is a temporary problem that goes away after a few minutes (usually). We are working hard to find that cause of this problem that causes breif outages.

Ran into that same problem several times also.
Interesting though, in that I cleared out cache and tried again, with success. And this on a Toshiba laptop! Might try clearing cache and try again.
Just a suggestion.

I had the same thing but after two tries was able to log in and upload photos and post them.

I was told that this was completely fixed but it is not. I just fired off an e-mail to someone who should be able to get this taken care of.

I encountered the same problem again earlier this morning. When I did a refresh, it cleared. Yes, I did clear cache first but that didn't help right away.

I don't think that clearing the cache would have any effect on that. I'm pretty sure that the problem is on our server and probably not anything do do with your individual computers.

I've got RailImages back on but there may be some problems while a few issues are sorted out.

I did a software upgrade to it which left as many questions as answers so let me work it out and please post any problems.

You may find it slower than normal until one of the problems is workes out - especially on any newly uploaded files.

Charlie, for what it's worth, I got those same warnings while just browsing through the albums last night. They sat there, and the albums came up ok, I found what I wanted and no problems. It was just that the warnings posted on each new page. It didn't seem to effect the operation of the site. I didn't try uploading. graemlins/shakehead.gif
