With the passing of our friend Don Brown I thought it would be fitting to suspend our Rail Images album for the week and replace it with a dedication to Don.
Don was an avid railfan and modeller and should be an inspiration to us all. So rather than dwell on this sad loss I thought if we could allpost some great photos of both models and prototype photographs as a tribute to Don.
The photo I am posting is the one that I have used to represent my layout and modelling abilities. To me it represents what an everyday person can achieve and how friends like Don have helped me and encouraged me with there comments.
I dedicate this to Don

Another dedication, to our friend, and fellow modeler Don. You will be missed my friend.

I took this shot just west of Katy, Texas on the MKT Railroad in 1975. Sunsets are always fitting memorials.

Two views of Number 8 at Jamestown, CA in 1985 when the jacket and lagging was removed for inspection.

We never met personally, yet it feels like one of the family shall not pass this way again. Our grief will grow into fond memories that will keep Don alive in our hearts every time something reminds us of his advice, or accomplishments. Our prayers are with his family.

I did copy the posting from Don's Step-son from here on Trainboard and reposted it on the Atlas Forum. It came up under my signature there. I know it was hard enough for Mr. Sinn to find Don's pass word and all to post under his sig here so I was trying to help out by assisting carrying out his task in informing the online community. Sorry if there was some confusion.
