Harold has hundreds (maybe thousands!) of wonderful photographs, particularly on Cajon Pass.

How about this one from his album, some heavy duty action at summit!

Well he certainly has a selection of the various BNSF paint jobs. I think BNSF has more paint schemes than any road has ever had at one time.
There are many elements of this picture that I find artistic: the change in ballast color, the exhaust haze/blur, the scenery, and of course the engine assortment.

John,

Good observations of that photograph. One elemnt I like about this photo is that is captures the consist of the train. It is amazing how many photographers tend to concentrate on the locomotive rather than the whole train.

Kevin Stevens opne of our moderators is excellent at capturing the whole of the train as well as scenery. Harold does as well thats why I invited him to start a rail images album, i have always enjoyed his work.

What kind of camera do you shoot with?
I like this one: Joint Line, or the old C&S south of Cheyenne?

Is this in Speer, WY?

HemiAdda2d, The first shot was in Keenesburg, CO and the second was in Lusk, WY (I think). The current camera (original is a Canon AE1) is a Nikon Coolpix 5700

You know the one above with the heat shimmer in it almost looks like a model train layout even though it's real, very nice shots.
