Our Rail Images site had it's 2000th image uploaded today, we now have 134 active albums with another 28 waiting to be activated.

Rail Images is becoming one of the premier sites for displaying train pics.

Kep up the great work guys.

Good to see it being well used. There are some wonderful pics in the albums and well worth a browse. I am particularly interested in model pictures, there is a lot of inspiration there.

Approx. 6.3% of those are in my album! graemlins/wow.gif

I was going to load a bunch of images of my layout on Railimages. Then, I decided to limit it to one page on Railimages, which I think is 36 pictures (maybe 24). I try to go on line at least once a week and change out the old ones and put a new feature image up. It is just my idea to save bandwidth and to keep the layout pictures current. It gives the regular page watchers something new to see each week.

thereis no need you to remove images actually the more the merrier as it's not the amount of images that is the problem it's more the bandwidth used when photos are posted especially to the Atlas forum. you are welcome to have as many pictures and you want to have on display.

Paul,
I requested a railimages account long ago, when the new site came out. I emailed you a few times and still have not received my account. Did you not receive the emails? I would like a account sometime in the near future as i will be starting my layout soon.
Thanks
Matt

That was fast, but not surprising. Congrats to all--developers and users alike.

Paul,
Is it just me, or does a person need to be logged into RI in order to vote for another user's images? Granted the service is free to join, but maybe not all browsers want to create an account just so they can vote.
