Thanks guys!
I shot most of the 3985 pics this July/Aug. The early AM pics are from the steam excursion I was aboard in July,a nd the turntable and other pics were from misc. UP Steam trips all summer long. It's only a 3 mile drive from my house to the roundhouse... And you can hear that steam whistle a long distance away!
The trip up UP's Sherman Hill, last weekend was the last good weather railfanning day I have had. The weather couldn't have been better, and for october, it was not all that windy. Here's on of my favorites, the day after gettign the new digicam, I shot this at the UP Cheyenne Yard diesel pit:

Paul, that GE unit 3rd in consist behind UP 3959 was belching enough smoke to be confuzed with a C30-7, or an Alco even! Not only lots of sooty exhaust, but fire, too! I tried, but couldn't bag a shot of the fire, but I did get it all on video... Thanks to a jackpot on Dale Junction, Uncle Pete had trains backed up for miles on #3 track, and many had to stop and start on a grade. What a treat!

It's the old sanding facility, beside the steam shops, freshly repainted that day. Standing 30' from it, I could still smell it.... Note all the overspray on the ground. Wow. I dunno what they're planning to do with it, no rails lead to it.

(edit)
There ARE rails behind the sand facility...
I checked last week, and they lead somewhere, not just cut off leading nowhere..
I'm amazed, over 1000 views....
