Well, I finally tried to upload some pics of my layout but wasn't successful. I registered about a month or two ago... don't remember when. When I pasted all the info in and hit the "I agree with the rules" bit, the message I received said I didn't exist.
Here is what I tried to input:
C:\My Documents\Layout Pictures\layout5.jpg
Two levels of my layout with Faller’s backdrop is pictured. The room appears smaller than it is due to the wide angle lens used in the photo. The room is L shaped and 13 ½ by 7 in this phote, and further down , the room is 13 ½ by 9 ½ feet.
C:\My Documents\Layout Pictures\layout4.jpg
Here is a clearer view of the L shaped brackets I made out of MDF. Also barely visible is the one leg I made for this section of the layout. The reversing loops will go here, so more support was needed.
C:\My Documents\Layout Pictures\layout9.jpg
Here is a good view of the Faller’s backdrop.
C:\My Documents\Layout Pictures\layout2.jpg
I have talked about a “nolix” a lot. This is an area devoted to elevation gain that isn’t a helix – more visibility of your trains. The picture here is of my nolix area. There will be two large mountains made out of hydrocal going in here, so that the mountains you see will be only partially visible. The area is much larger than it looks in this picture
C:\My Documents\Layout Pictures\layout1.jpg
In this picture, you can see the Faller’s mountainous area. I am using this in the nolix. Underneath the backdrop, you can see an S shaped curve. The S shape structure is for my nolix area. Each part of the S shape will hold one mountain as my trains gain elevation.
