Great question, Paul! I saw on the Railimages page that comes up when you view an individual picture, that you are supposed to highlight the URL and then right click, which supposedly copies the image to your "buffer". So I have no idea what that means either, not to mention, I have a Mac and there is no "right click". Attention experts...WE NEED HELP!! Maybe you should put this in your FAQ's. Have detailed instructions, EASILY FOUND, or PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED on how to display pictures in your posts, for BOTH platforms - Mac and Windows.

This Trainboard link (http://www.trainboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=76;t=000004;p=1#000 002) has details of how to find and copy the link for the picture, when you create the post on Trainboard, click the "Image" button below the text box, and paste the url into it.
Hope that helps, let us know if you have any further problems. smile.gif

Paul, go to the image you want to include, and either right click on it to get "properties" or click on it to enlarge it. In either event, you will get it's "title." Drag your mouse over the title holding the click button down, then copy that title.
Go to Trainboard using the "trainboard" button in railimages, type your message, then select "IMAGE" from the box below the text. A small window will open. Copy the title of your image into the window and select OK. The title of your image should then appear in the message like this"
http://www.railimages.com/paul2345565.jpg[/img}] (I purposely added extra brackets so this would show up).
And if you have done it right, when you post the message, the image will be there.

I believe all images have to be saved either as a JPG or BMP before they can be displayed on Trainboard thru Railamages smile.gif

Paul Paul,
The instructions I sent you with your account describe the process for posting a picture on trainboard. Did you read it? If you did and are unable to understand it let me know.
As for the MAc I will have to find out but we do have a few members who have MACs and have used it successfully. could any MAC users give some advice please.

Mac Users, to insert pictures with your posts, here's what I did. Create an Albumn and upload the pictures. From your albumn, click on the picture you want to display with your post. When that comes up, you'll see a URL under the picture. It says "URL to picture:" Click on that link and another image will come up. Now, in the address bar above that you will see the URL again. Copy this URL (highlight the entire URL and select "Copy" from the Edit menu). Now, go back to trainboard.com and write your new post. Underneath the message box you will see "Instant UBB Code" with buttons underneath it. Select IMAGE. A little window/prompt will come up that has http:// already highlighted. Now, just choose "Paste" from the edit menu. This should place the URL you just copied, into the window/prompt. Check to see if it worked. Now click OK. You can now preview your post and see your handiwork! When satisfied, post away!

Paul, did you get it sorted out yet? Post your plan in the layout planning section and I'm sure you will get heaps of feedback...

What a lot of help.
Thank you all.
Pete, I can't of of any help being a PC user.
Martyn, I 'll see what I can find in the link.
Jim, it sure is what I would like to post, i'll try your suggestion.
Friscobob, the program is RR-Track.
Bill, my trackplan is saved as jpg in Railimages.
Colonel, sure I did read your message, but it was not clear for me, I live in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium, maybe that explains my misunderstang.

Yeah!!Way to go Paul! Colonel, it is true. Since your board is international(!), clearer instructions are needed. Not everyone (including me) is a computer wiz.
