If you need to get your pictures down to the RailImage's 100KB maximum, you can download Graphics Converter 4.5.1 from here: www.lemkesoft.com/us_gcdownload.html (http://www.lemkesoft.com/us_gcdownload.html) It's shareware so it's free, but honest Joe's will pay the $30. To make your photos smaller, choose "Save As" from the File menu. Where is says "format" scroll to JPEG/JFIF, then click the "Options" button. From there, check the "Calculate File Size" box, and the "Show this dialog before saving JPEG files". Now you can adjust the quality slider at the top of the page. Adjust it until the calculated size says 100KB or lower. Then click Save! Nothin' to it!

And if any of you are using Mac OSX, you can simply open your image in Preview, and then "export". Choose jpeg, then hit "options", and you can choose from a slider how much you want it compressed. Leaving it in the middle generally results in files between 40kb and 80kb.

Mac Users, to insert pictures with your posts, here's what I did. Create an Albumn and upload the pictures. From your albumn, click on the picture you want to display with your post. When that comes up, you'll see a URL under the picture. It says "URL to picture:" Click on that link and another image will come up. Now, in the address bar above that you will see the URL again. Copy this URL (highlight the entire URL and select "Copy" from the Edit menu). Now, go back to trainboard.com and write your new post. Underneath the message box you will see "Instant UBB Code" with buttons underneath it. Select IMAGE. A little window/prompt will come up that has http:// already highlighted. Now, just choose "Paste" from the edit menu. This should place the URL you just copied, into the window/prompt. Check to see if it worked. Now click OK. You can now preview your post and see your handiwork! When satisfied, post away!
