Thanks for the hard work, but I have a couple of questions...

1. I'm not clear if your TOS allows MODEL railroad photos?

2. Can the images be used to post to personal web pages?

Ed,

Model railroad images are allowed. We just ask that people don't upload 10 photos of something when 1 or 2 will do.

As far as web pages, the images uploaded create a personal gallery for each person. Is that what you mean or.... ?

Thanks for excellent news Paul smile.gif

I know that a LOT of work has gone into getting this underway, and working properly. I had the chance to try out the system a little while ago, and found it easy to use, and very easy on the eye, thanks to the well thought out software. Special thanks to Charlie and Paul for persevering with getting the site up and running, which I am sure will be a great boon to Trainboard. Also thanks to those "volunteers" who tested the system over the development period. smile.gif

However, Charlie's image looks very much like a Red Giant Star ... in astronomical terms. :D

The real credit goes to Mike Bobbitt. Paul, I, and others have worked along side ... Paul is putting in major time on this but special thanks goes to Mike. We could not have done it at all - period, without him. As you all know, this has been in planning for a looonnnggg time. Mike is the star of the show on this one. Paul will be managing the site and that is going to be greatly appreciated too.

I guess we can chalk it up to international cooperation. smile.gif graemlins/wow.gif

Well I have enjoyed my participation but the fun has just begun.

We have had 10 applications since announcing the site which is a good start.

I would appreciate the help of existing members in answering any queries by new members

Thanks Mike Bobbitt you sure made it easy to use! This feathure should draw many new members, and provide us with a Library of photos for reference and enjoyment.

1. Are we to leave our photos for longtime availability?

2. If a post with a photo is later deleted during clean-up, will the photo remain on TrainBoard for Archives use?

Wayne to answer your questions

1. It will be up to you to decide how long to keep the pic on the site. If you no longer have use then it will be best to delete the pic this will keep the size of the webspace and costs down.

2. No the picture is never held on trainboard so if a pic is deleted from railimages it will no longer be displayed on Trainboard.

Take a look at my post this evening at N scale/Layout pics, please.

It seems to me that Railimages does not communicate correct with Trainboard when it comes to refer to Railimages for a picture graemlins/headscratch.gif

Helge,

When you copy the link from railimages just be careful you are not copying the space next to the last letter. If you have a space between the letter and [ then it will not post.
