Great picture, Mike!

It is funny... old Southern, NS used to use MP15's here in my home town.... They left and were replaced by "whatever" (from GP38's to D9-40CW's)... now the have been replaced by SW1500's!

They look really nice. IMNSHO- The KCS paint, is one of the best Class 1 schemes today.

They look great, all business. That spiral tape job on the handrails would be difficult to model.
I've always liked the looks of the SW series.

I have been looking at the differences between SW1500s and MP15DCs. The obvious difference is the frame length, but the trucks for all these engines is very much different, depending on the railroad. What type of trucks are these? They look like old Alco trucks.

Great picture, trnbuf. Welcome to Trainboard! smile.gif smile.gif

(Also, great moniker! :D )

They are AAR-A trucks... the Alco trucks you speak of are AAR-B trucks.
