Some time back I was fortunate to run across a book entitled "Kansas City Southern-Route of the Southern Belle", by Terry Lynch and Warren Caileff (sp?). Mostly black & white pics, there are several neat color shots, as well as a brief story of the building of the KCP&G by Arthur Stilwell, as well as motive power, passenger trains, and rolling stock.
I bought this book back in the late 1980s, and I have no idea if it's still available.
Extra 2200 South also came out with a KCS diesel roster in the early 1990s, which didn't include the Midsouth roster at the time, nor that of the Texas-Mexican, Gateway Western or the TFM.
Anybody know of any other books on the KCS? I know there have been articles in various publications, and Pentrex even came out with a KCS video ( nice, BTW- I recommend it).
