I know that there is a lot of intermodal traffic that connects to the NS on the east-west main, I'm curious what other traffic is on the line. Anyone have any ideas?
By the way, great to see this new fourm!

I saw more mixed merchandise than intermodal entering/leaving the KCS east/west main eastern terminus (and NS interchange) at Meridian, MS as I passed through on the Amtrak Crescent from 1995 until 2000. I'll try to take a run up to the new KCS yard at Jackson, MS to get some photos now that we have a KCS Forum. graemlins/097.gif
BTW, for those who might not know, here is the KCS Industries Home Page (http://www.kcsi.com/home.html)

Hank,
Thanks for the follow up information. smile.gif Now I am curious about how much traffic is on the line. I know that there are at least two intermodals that run all the way to Atlanta via NS and one that terminates in Birmingham along with a mixed freight. That's 4 each way each day. So how much more?
