That's a "Paint Shop Pro" file. Here is a link to the specs sheet. Looks like there is a downloadable demo - maybe it will offer save as jpg for you...

Thanks! (whew, 20 million users at 85-110$ a pop, somebodies rollin in the dough) My uncle sent it to my folks, I was trying to open it for them... what an idiot, he should have known my folks don't have Paint Shop Pro,... thanks again.

No worries mate! It would be nice if everyone would save files in industry standard formats when they are sending them to friends
I had a chance to check out tunnel3.com - that's a nice model railroad you have there! I am amayzed at the quality N scale work here at trainboard. Good work guys - but you'll never convert me smile.gif

I use Paint Shop Pro 5, but I never save files in their format. I always save photos as jpg then anyone can open them.

You'll come across from the Dark Side, Rob :D
I save any work I am doing but not completed in .psp format when in Paint Shop Pro (I use version 7, Alan, but still think 6 is easier to use). Other than that, it is either .jpg or .gif format for sending/website use, depending on my requirements.
I have to say I am surprised PhotoShop couldn't handle the .psp format. Are you using the LE edition of PhotoShop, Espee?
Gary.

I was suspicious that he accidently sent the file that is "saved" to work on. I was right, he re-sent my folks the email with a jpg file instead.
Thanks for looking at my Tunnel 13 web site, I have thousands of hours in it.
