As in another post, I downloaded an html editor and it got placed in a zip file, how do I open it? (when I click it on, it shows an empty file, yet it isn't empty) I would love to work on my trains web site http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif

Ah, the old zipped file. I'll never forget the first one that I saw. Total frustration until I learned where to get the software to open it. I use WinZip, but you got to pay for it. Here is a link to a free one.

Da, forgot all about that one. That would be the way to go if out don't already have an un-zip program. You kill two birds with one stone http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif.

Ok, apparently, my Windows ME has a "un-zipper" installed allready, but when I tried to use it all I get is a blink of a black screen in a split second, so... what should I use Go-Zilla? is that better? this is as bad as trying to get news groups on my outlook express5, am I the only one who has problems? or should I chalk it up to only having this thing for 3-weeks?... http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

I downloaded "go-zilla" and it looks very cool when you download something :eek :(not just zip files) and it worked fine. One problem is, it also brought along a couple companions... "gator" / "online companion", a "spy ware" application that has an anoying pop-up every so often asking questions. I went to alt.windows.ME and a few people told me it is used to keep track of your web movements, so I deleted the entire package what a shame too

You could have just deleted the gator and kept Gozilla. Just go to the settings, control panel and add/delete software. Thats what I did and still use gozilla

I understand your protest about Gator being included with Gozilla. Its a shame though because Gozilla works so well. I have paid for and used winzip but much prefer Gozilla. The main reason is when downloading with Gozilla it keeps track of the download and if for some reason, you lose connection, Gozilla carries on from the point of download it has achieved when you re log on. Any other download you may use loses everything if connection or error is experienced. My thoughts for what they are worth.
