Here's a checklist for you to follow to get started on your Christmas page. If you don't understand any of these points, just ask and our team will be glad to help you! It really isn't that hard and you'll discover that as we go along!

Do you know what you want to say on your page?

Do you have any images? There are a lot of Christmas image web pages around where you can find images that you can save and use on your page. (It isn't necessary to load you page up with images. A single image of some sort will suffice.)

Do you have an HTML editor on your computer? Netscape Composer, Microsoft FrontPage, any others? If you don't know, we will help you.

Do you have an FTP client? This is a small program that shows the contents of your hard drive on one side (like Windows Explorer) and the contents of the server on the other side. It's easy and if you don't have such a program we'll give you one or tell you where to download one.)

Do you have personal web space? If you don't know, go to the web site for your Internet Service Provider. Look under "web hosting" or something similar and they will tell you where your space is and how to access it. Bookmark that page so you can tell us where to go look at it later in order to help you access that. If you do not have personal web space from your ISP, we can still help you out.
[/list]

Check into these things and we will get started! Remember, you are on the way to having your own railroad related web site!

Charlie
