I have a couple of pages with a fixed background as well. Not so sure about using it with text only, but with image or large block files it's great.
I'll trhow it in the links page for all to look at.

This code only works with IE, but I have a page bookmarked at work that has the code for Nutscrape too..
This code would be perfect for a page with a loco or rollin stock image in the background and the text about it in the foreground?
