I'm not sure about xoom, but I've learned not to count on good support from free web hosts... except geocities is about 2-3 days wait, at least they do make an effort... "you get what you payed for"... I'm sure you will hear from them. good luck and let us know when you're up. http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif

Go to Homestead, you sign up on-line, and start building your site in about 2 minutes!

Seems strange, I had no difficulty getting my web page up at xoom. Catt uses xoom too. I know ICQ will host web sites and tripod is another. What I like about xoom is the only price you pay is that small section at the top of the page.
Come see an example at http://members.xoom.com/Matthyro/index.html

I have 4 sites on XOOM for various clubs...
but now go back to geocities due to the shortened site name.
eg www.geocities.com/sydney_nscale/ (http://www.geocities.com/sydney_nscale/)
my other sites will soon change to geo...

I may need to expand onto another site soon unless I can negotiate more space on my server. Since most don't use their 10Meg, I think I can get away with it. http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif
If I can't, which of the 'freebie' sites has the least pop-up banners and advertising?

Homestead does not have any advertising or pop-ups, and you can have UNLIMITED space. It is also dead easy to use (which is why I use it!!)
