I'm modeling this engine in HO scale and I'm needing a roof shot and back-end shot on 8350m to finish modeling it. It is already painted Yellow and Gray like #8349. THANKS FOR HELP AND I WILL POST A PIC WHEN DONE!

Well, I don't have any of that loco in particular, but I do have some in that series (roof and rear shots). This link has some of them, but they are dark (it was after sunset, wanted to finish the roll). I have more CSX SD40-2s, just not scanned. Let me know by e-mail if you'd like to see more. You'll want units numbering 8302-8488 (many rebuilds here).

I don't have that particular unit in any of my digital pics, however, I did look it up on the CSX photo archives; not a roof shot, but: http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/photos/SD40-2/8350CSX-y.jpg

You'll notice it is really a SD40R (or an SD40 rebuilt to SD40-2 standards.)(Notice it does not have Dash-2 trucks or the sight glass as Corey's units show in his pics)

Since it is an SD40R, it should be very similar to this roof shot I had previously posted of CSXT 8418: http://www.trainweb.org/ncrail/images/CSXT8418.jpg

I have to check some of my "archives" and see if I have anything else.

How about this picture; it's a roof shot of CSXT 8361: http://www.trainweb.org/zeniphotos/roofer/CSX8361.jpg

That may get as close as I can get to your original request http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif

8361 is most likely identical to the unit you are looking for. Since it is a rebuilt SD40, it will have the brake wheel in the rear (as this unit does) and has an SD40 carbody (so to do a true model of this unit, you should buy an SD40 and modify it). But anyway, good luck with your model. I think the YN2 scheme would be a better choice looks, just my opinion.
