Hi all,
As a fan of the Swiss Re460/465 locos I grab every opportunity to take photos of these machines especially the colourful advertising livery examples. Maybe this is a bit of a cheat but can anyone say where the following photo was taken ?

Best wishes

No,not Greece,Alan.
As I said earlier it might be cheating and although the loco has Swiss origins perhaps this post shouldn't even be in the Europe section (clue).....or any other of Trainboards sections (another clue)

I seem to remember some going to Asia, Malaysia, or somewhere in the far east.

Warm?

Close enough Alan. The photo was taken near Kowloon (Hong Kong) last year and the locos are used on inter-city trains to Guangzhou. Two "Re460's" top and tail the Japanese built bi-level cars.Kato actually produced a limited edition N-scale set of one of these trains several years ago but I didn't buy one......I wish I had now as it would have been a nice reminder of our visit. Your prize is two other photos taken at the same spot.

I promise my next topic will be genuine European.
Take care
