As this preserved railway is only 20 miles from me, I thought it about time I showed some of the varied motive power which has run there!
The line can accommodate rolling stock to International (European) gauge, so we see some unusual stuff here.
Here is one of the first foreign locomotives on the railway, a French Nord compound 4-6-0

One of the first 'local' locomotives, is BR standard clas 5 4-6-0 73050 City of Peterborough. The name was applied after preservation. It is seen pasing under a road access bridge in Ferry Meadows Park, on it's way from Peterborough to Wansford.
