Anyone know much about steel railroad ties? Here is a website about a company that manufacturers steel railroad ties.

Sure, they been around a long time! I even had them on my Lionel 0-27 track. They worked quite well in fact. http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

Hi tieman, Welcome to TrainBoard. Thanks for posting that site. I wonder why anyone would want to use steel ties?

Even if they were ssolid, stainless, steel ties, they wouldn't have as much cushioning and flexability at the wooded ties.
