Due to the US having a good "Exchange Rate" with Australia, rail fans can afford to travel to Australia. I would be pleased to provide information about some great train trips, rail museums, and "rare" travel experiences. How about an UNLISTED weekly "Mixed" train in outback Queensland, to a town with a population of just twenty people? How about a weekly mainline "Hudson" out of Melbourne?

3801 is a restored passenger steam engine that runs regularly out of Sydney. I have not yet had the pleasure but plan to book soon! Here's a link:

Hi John, and welcome to Trainboard. I think you will find much more interest and warmer people here. I for one would dearly love to travel to Australia and ride behind a Hudson for the first time in many years. Time will tell if that will be possible. :D
