I consider myself a fan of the Southern http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif I think there are many, we just usually hang out in the Norfolk Southern forum http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

Yup, I guess you could say I'm a fan. I started out on them a few years before the NW/S merger...back in the glory days! IT was good work, but after NS decided to spit me out after chewing me up, I moved to the IC and that's where I've been for about 10-15 years. Talk to ya guys later

Someone mention tuxedos and highhoods running long hood forward.....Count me in, and BTW Chessie, I made it to Greensboro last weekend lots of the old SOU/N&W MOW equipment sitting at the east throat of Pomona for some reason, maybe the scrapper's torch, but hope it isn't so http://www.trainboard.com/frown.gif Well just like to say hello and count me in as a
SOU fan. Y'all have a good one, Justin May

Justin,
I haven't been by Greensboro in a couple of weeks. It seems like everytime I do go, it is full of Dash9's, which I find a little boring http://www.trainboard.com/rolleyes.gif, especially when you compare it to the high hoods, tuxedos, etc. Some of that old MOW equipment has been lingering around the yard for a while; the torch may in order http://www.trainboard.com/wink.gif

Hey Justin, can you get any photos of the MOW equipment and post them for us in the MOW forum? Cranes, snow plows rotaries, flats with the sidewinders on them? They would be great for detail reference.

Watash,
Well bud, hate to disappoint you but I lost the shots due to my stupidity of loading film Correctly (I'm crawling back under my rock now http://www.trainboard.com/confused.gif http://www.trainboard.com/redface.gif http://www.trainboard.com/frown.gif ) and can't get back there as its 700 miles away. But if you ask nicely maybe Chessie could mosy on down to Gboro and look 'em up for you. I do however have access to some Tampers,Cleaners and Speeders as well as some MOW cars down here in Tampa. Let me know and I'll see what I an do. Have a good one, Justin

As luck would have it, I did make it by Greensboro today. I did not see the MOW equipment (other than an old ballast car) but I did catch LOTS OF NS LOCOS! In fact, one consist left the yard with 10-12 locos on the point! I will try and get some picture up tonite in the NS forum.
