Did anyone in UK see "The Sopranos" last night (31 August 2000)?
There was a wonderful scene, ostensibly a close up of our antihero waiting to be picked up in a car by an associate, but incidentally featuring a long, panned, shot, in middle background, of a north east corridor passenger train passing at moderate speed along a raised causeway.
Not being an expert I do not know whether the service was Amtrak, NJT or what, but given the paucity of any kind of coverage of railroads on television this cameo of a few seconds length was one to be savoured.
(This episode was from the first series of this show and has been shown before in the UK and no doubt several times in the US).
