BC Rail ran the last coal train over its Tumbler Sub today, Thursday
April
10th, 2003.

The T044 with power 4641 4624 4625 4644, 62 loads 43 empties departed
Teck
at 1400, passed thru Jct Switch Wakely at 1725 and arrived End of Main
Track
Prince George 2030.

Does this mean that the branch will be retired? (Rails removed?) Or will it be out of service? Is this due to coal prices? Or is the coal all gone?

Not sure...but I heard the closure is because of the mines shutting down on the line.

I forgot to ask last time- Has the electrification equipment been removed and retired?

Boxcab E50 Yes the electric equipment has been retired, the last train was powered by a Dash 9 leading 4 Dash 8's.
