View Full Version : Fall Foliage in Kentucky

Well, the colors in northern Kentucky are below average at best so far. Some trees have turned (many have lost their leaves) while other trees appear to be stubborn and haven't turned yet.

Does the lead locomotive have half the nose painted white, or is it just light reflection?

Yes I agree an excellent photo, by the looks of the shadows the white nose is a reflection off the sun.

The Colonel is correct, it is a direct reflection of the sun. Ironically, the train SHOULD have been there at least an hour earlier for better lighting...

I'm glad you fellas like the shot. The fall colors are rather muted this year so far. :(

Another super photo! I haven't really seen "fall color" in my parts (of the Piedmont). In fact, I haven't seen many trains lately (due to my work schedule :( but I am happy to have a job smile.gif )
