Business took me through Greensboro, N.C. for the last 2 days (with camera, of course ;) ). I caught the run through freights ~ 8AM each day. Today, I spent my lunch hour there (mostly inside the Amtrak "station" (the Hut) because it was so cold (~40 degrees, rainy, 20-30mph winds  ) Anyway, I did catch a lot of NS power, mostly big GE's, but I did have a real surprise today. Hopefully, I can get the pictures resized and posted tomorrow (unless you want 2048x1536 images tongue.gif )

Harold:

Thanks for posting the photos!

I particularly like the shot of the C39-8. Get your shots of those now, as they aren't going to be around too much longer.

Chris,
I have quite a few more shots from the same trip, but I don't want to bore the masses with too many lookalike photos. I only caught 2 CR painted locos over the 2 days; they do add a little color! smile.gif
One of the things that amazed me was the complete use of "modern" power... There was a GP38-2 in the yard, as well as a GP50 and they seem really old compared to all of the Dash 9's!
