Guard your wallet -- they're after our $$$ again 8=)

Just got the new Jan 2001 Model Railroader and there is a new N product announcement from GHQ for the ALCO T-6 yard switcher (of which N&W owned several).

This is a conversion kit consisting of a cast pewter body and cast <pewter also?> truck sideframes to convert the Arnold N
S-2 to the T-6. The T-6 was ALCO's last yard switcher.

They were still active at Lambert's Point yard in Norfolk when I left there in Jan 86, although they have probably been retired by now.

No info yet on price or delivery date. I will try to get the ad scanned
and sent to you quickly. There is an info page on the T6 (with photo of
NW 43 in the simplified NW scheme) at this URL
http://www.cyberus.ca/~yardlimit/alco/t6/

I didn't check George Elwood's photo archive site yet -- he probably has more photos there. This is an undecorated casting so it will need paint and decals.

Yes, I do believe there is a Santa Claus 8=)
