I just bought a new videotape, Trains on Location - Best of the West.

I always liked the CP scheme with the multimark, and when this was removed, it looked a bit bare.

But on the tape, are some of the new, big power, and they look great, with the large crest on the flanks. Which scheme do you all like best?

Once again (as I said in another forum), I'd have to say my favorite scheme is the new one...with the golden beaver on the loco and the body being all red. I do have to admit that there is a tie for second...the SL&HR paint and the combination of the US and Canadian flags.

I've always liked the red locomotives with the white stripes on the nose and rear of the locomotive. I especially like how it looks on those CPRail "red barns"!

The BEAVER! I like the script, but I like the "Canadian" image I think of when I see two CPR SD90s go over an under-maintained bridge on the CNR in the Fraser Canyon headed west.

Now, who here will even dare to help me think of all there paint schemes.

-Black with "Canadian Pacific"
-lazy maroon/grey
-Maroon/Grey with block lettering
-Maroon/Grey with script
-Red w/ large multi-mark
-Red w/small multi mark
-pink w/small multi-mark
-Red w/ no multi mark
-Canadain Pacific Rail System or whatever the heck it was.
- 2 flags
- Beaver
-Beaver with old paint colour
- United Way

Also-the specialties that I know of

-E&N Railfreight (Van. Island)
-All black (I mean ALL!)
-All Red
-alot of different colours of spray paint
-primer
-black and grey
union pacific yellow paint w/ CP Rail on the side.

Well, thats what I acn think of off the top of my head! http://www.trainboard.com/wink.gif

My favourite is the new (current) candy-apple red with the gold beaver crest. I think it looks great... very Canadian. My second favourite would be the maroon/gray with script lettering. But my layout will be modern so the power will be all red. I can't wait for Kato to release the SD-90s with the gold logo.
