This item has been heavily "borrowed" from February 2001 Railfan magazine..p.25.
The Canadian National 2-8-0 numbered 2141 is being restored in Kamloops, British Columbia by the Steam Locomotive Restoration Society. This society has received 3 grants totalling $113,000.
This locomotive was build for the Canadian Northern Railway in 1912 by the Canadian Locomotive Company (question: was this part of Montreal Locomotive works?). Although the money is new, apparently this engine has been undergoing restoration since 1993. The work is not under wraps and the public is invited to see it being restored. It is at Riverside Park in Kamloops.
