I like them too Dave. Thanks especially for the picture of the old CN roundhouse that has been torn down and will be the site for new condos. I used to ride by the old roundhouse when I was using GO service to get back and forth to Toronto. Too bad the roundhouse and coaling tower was not preserved in some way as the old CP roundhouse has been.

The Toronto Roundhouse photo was obviously taken from the CN Tower. I have some shots I took in 1985, when the roundhouse was still there. What a shame it had to go.
I also spent a bit of time on Spadina bridge, watching a parade of GO trains, and a CP S2 switcher stopping all the traffic, pushing a cut of boxcars across the intersection http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif
What is the date of the photo? Also, when was the rounhouse torn down? Thanks.

The CN Tower view of the roundhouse was taken in April '76. I can't recall when the Skydome was built but I figure it was at least 10 years after that. Whatever the date, the stadium is as obsolete now as the turntable was then....in 1/10th the time and at 100 times the cost. Who says we've come a long way?
