For those fans of CN in "the North" I offer the third of three. Earlier I had alluded to the rock and role nature of the track between Hearst and Kapuskasing.

This photo shows a very typical train in the early spring. Three engines, one tank car, one box and a caboose.

As the summer wears on the trains got much heavier. Multiple GP40's and 40 - 50 cars were not uncommon if there was a problem on the southern route.

But the little trains were fun...and a great consist to model.

Enjoy

Oh yes, there are some other train pics at albums.photopoint.com as well.

Hi Alan

Yes, especially if your a habitual engine collector like most of us.

Those spark arresters sure gave those little engines a unique look. Sorry about the dark photo. During my 24 month stay in Lowther 1390 (the lead unit), 1382 and 1343 were at home in Hearst. I'll find better shot or two and put them in the album.
