When it comes to Canadian Railroading, although I'm not a student of the road, it's the CN for me! No wonder the BNSF and CN-IC want to get together. Nobody does it better in North American than BNSF and CN-IC! http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

My first contact with North American railroading was in Toronto in 1985, and I started getting some CN and VIA equipment in HO as soon as I got home!

I really liked the diagonal stripe paint scheme, and the large CN on the switchers. I did intend to have some GO Transit and CP as well, but never got round to that, and went for Swiss HO http://www.trainboard.com/frown.gif

Hi Andrew, I live in Georgetown Ontario and a CN main line runs through town. On average there is a freight train through here every half hour. http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif Once a day, a VIA/AMTRAK passenger train comes through on its journey between Toronto and Windsor. Georgetown is also the terminus for the NW GO train commuter service. 4 trains to Toronto in the am and 4 back here in the pm.
I will have an interchange with CN on my layout

Can't say I'm a "fan" of CN, but that is the only rail line left in our city after CP pulled out, NYC left and Cornwall Street Ry ended service. I must say I always loved their paint scheme and the fact that a spur was in back of our home made it all the more better. These days, CN has been making a growing re-appearance in Cornwall and I'm happy for that. http://www.trainboard.com/smile.gif
