Re C.N. Units to St. Lawrence Atlantic

Hi There,

I used to live in the Montreal Areas
Years ago. I also got to Railfan the line
between Montreal & Portland Maine on STEAM
& DIESEL Trips. I was wondering how many
Units the St. Lawrence Atlantic got from
C.N. a few years back. Also what ever did
happen to the Bridge into Portland Maine
Was it ever repaired etc. Would B most
Inerested to know.

Hi Andrew, The SLR aquired a dozen or so M-420W's from CN and has been having trouble with them ever since. As for the swing bridge over back bay in Portland....It has never been rebuilt. It stays in the open position. The Maine Narrow Guage museum has taken over the last bit of trackage from the bridge along the shore to Commercial Street.
