Anyone know if it's still wearing that retarded version of the Heritage green and orange? Now why they didn't just paint the front end like the long hood part is beyond me... Anyone know where it was repainted?

Hey Tunnel88, I'm not familiar with this odd paint job you are talking about. Any idea where I could see a pic of it? Thanks.

The reason it has the messed up paint job is because it is a rebuilt SD40-2 B unit, ex BN in beleave.

Does someone have an email address for Steve Edwards? I would like to contact him about his photo of 7501.

Thanks

Matthew

NO, i think it has a stupid paint job because whoever painted it had no taste... Why does the orange go up where the cab used to be? That unit hasn't had a cab since the 80's.

Here's the only email address i could find from that site- I don't think it is Steve Edward's though... : oddballdecal@lvnworth.com

Thats the email for Tom Stolte, owner of Oddballs Decals....Gotta agree with you, that huge orange area where the cab used to be does look weird!

I am also puzzled by the paint job, other B units have been done with the stripes and colours going all the way round the body, so why this was done differently, I cannot imagine http://www.trainboard.com/confused.gif

Thanks for the photo link Tunnel88. I see what you mean about the odd paint job. I looked through some of my BNSF books and roster info and found no special mention of this unit. Therefore, I can't add any futher info to what everyone else has posted. However, it would be interesting to know why it was painted that way.
