Greetings to all,
Received a message tonite that will be of intrest to all BNSF and ATSF fans.
The management of Willis Steel Corporation in Galesburg, Il. has set up a webcam on their website. <www.willissteel.com>. The camera is aimed at the Academy Street crossing of the old AT&SF mainline in Galesburg. This is two blocks west of the former Santa Fe Amtrak passenger station.
I am anxious for morning to come with its daylight so I can get a good view of what the camera shows. It seems to refresh every ten seconds or so and gives a broadside of trains (and cars) as they cross the crossing.
Enjoy!
I will soon be posting information on the upcomming Galesburg Railroad Days Festival.
As of our last meeting the BNSF had not yet announced what equipment they plan to have on display for the festival. Dates: June 24 & 25.
At this time the Model Train and Railroadiana Show at Carl Sandburg College has 8 confirmed layouts and exhibits and 185 vendor tables. It looks like the Show will once again be a sellout.
