FL9 Third Rail Shoe

This isn't exactly Cinderella's glass slipper. It is a third-rail shoe off an FL9, now on display in the Danbury Railway Museum.

Usually the FL9s would go on shoes and shut the diesel down around the 125th St station. You really hear some wierd sounds when they are running on the shoes that are covered by the noise of the diesel.
