This will illustrate that rules are important, especially Safety Rules. In this case the rule is always secure and lock the boom before you pick up the outriggers. In this case it was fortunate that no one was injured but there were a few red faces.

Is that what happened? Is it possible the outriggers collasped?

I saw a brand new dump truck, only two weeks old fall over nearly killing the driver after he raised it up to dump tar and the arm just snapped off.

I also saw a rigger's truck like that one in the photo have the boom snap off taking off the operators arm.

But, if the operator did it by mistake, then all I can say is "DUH!!!!!!!"

It was an error. No injuries and the truck had only minor damages.
