Hi all,
I was down at one of my favorite railfoaming sites yesterday, Blue Island, IL, and I got to thinking--how many other MANNED grade crossing towers are out there these days?? I am not talking about interlocking towers-I mean a tower where all the operator does is lower and raise the grade crossing gates as is done at Blue Island. There are 8 tracks of 4 different railroads that cross Broadway Ave (or is it street?) at this tower. In this day and age, it seems kinda quaint. Let's hear from ya.
